I love Dahlias!

For a reasonably priced amount, you can add flair to your dining table with these butter colored dahlia bloom. Each is handmade and unique with an approximate 5" in diameter, the perfect size for the napkins. They are secured with wire that you just twist around the napkin, or make a loop with it to hang from above!

They will take a life of it's own throughout the evening as your guests use them as props or put them in their hair.....check it out at Etsy

Renting a house for a weekend or a week?

We have found that our destination-wedding clientele do a wonderful job of 'making a weekend' out of their wedding. One big factor is finding a place where the family and wedding party can stay as well as host some of the smaller events (rehearsal dinner or farewell brunch). Here is a great website with options. Beautiful Linens coming soon....

I just got an email that La Tavola Linen, known for their rich collection of fabrics, is opening up a show room in little old Santa Barbara Spring 2010. The 1 year-old Napa Valley company is growing, and so they should. La Tavola, Italian for 'the table appropriately enough, has a plethora of beautiful selections and amazing customer service.

Linens can make such a difference in dressing up your party.

The Toscano collection this pattern is great for a moroccan theme event.

This has a similar concept, but by removing the shine and clean lines of the one above,
the pattern transforms perfectly for an Old Spanish or Roman themed event.

Another Similar concept with more elegance simply by changing the color.
I love linens that have different textures.

Non traditional, fun, circus theme with elegance, no cheese-o-rama here

Rich colors bring elegance and become a palate for the centerpieces, pulling the whole look together. The sheen on this linen will really pop in candlelight.

A little more fun, and subtle. Better than white use a light colored linen.

Overlays can vary from the golden era.....

Something Fun and New

I attended the Earl Warren Showgrounds Wedding Fair Today.

I couldn't resist to blog about these NEW benches that Discount Party Rentals has in stock for renting this summer. Great for ceremonies or to pair with the wooden tables (back of photo) they also carry. Characteristic and affordable!

Antoine_Christy_002.JPG

Did you know that the busiest engagement days are Christmas thru New Year's and Valentines? I thought it appropriate to help all the lucky couples who may feel lost or overwhelmed in the early wedding planning stages.

I ran across this article from Elegala Bride which gives PERFECT advice for the newly engaged couple. I give the same advice to my clients. Planning an event is like a puzzle, and these three tid bits of advice set up for a great foundation.
