One of the best things about summer is the abundance of fresh fruits available. Everywhere you look, grocery stores and farmer's markets are overflowing with apricots, nectarines, peaches, honeydew melons, watermelons, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, cranberries, cherries, mangoes, papayas, oranges, lemons, limes, coconuts, pineapple, plums, figs, and any other fruits you can think of! The question remains: is it a coincidence that summertime also happens to be the most popular time for weddings? I think not!
There are TONS of unique and fun ways to incorporate fruit into your wedding. One popular way to do this is to use fruit as a center piece. You can either fill a vase with whole, fresh fruits (like the following picture) or you could place sliced fruits into a vase with water and throw a few flowers in there.

Another idea is to use fruits as escort cards! Simply create a
little tag with your guest's name on it and use a pin to secure it to your fruit of choice.
Some people like to have fruit lying around to create the mood. In this fiesta-style wedding,
sliced papayas and tons of different citrus fruits added a little pizzaz to the buffet table.
From centerpieces to escort cards to decor to bouquets to gift bags, the possibilities are endless!
What do you think about people using fruit in their weddings?
Which fruit would you choose?
